Movinn

Serviced and Furnished apartments

During my tenure at Movinn, I had the opportunity to contribute to several projects, with the primary focus being on the development of Movinn.com. This platform serves as the cornerstone of Movinn's business, showcasing their range of serviced and furnished apartments.

In 2021, we embarked on a redesign journey for the website, which resulted in a refreshed and modern look. The IT team at Movinn diligently expanded upon this foundation to shape it into its current state. To ensure consistency and efficiency, we implemented a design system using NextJS, enabling seamless and efficient additions to the website.

Sketches and Visual Designs

To kickstart the redesign process, we began by sketching and creating visual designs using Figma. This allowed us to establish the foundation of the new platform's appearance.

Revamping the Main Pages

We started by recreating every page with NextJS and leveraging frameworks like Tailwind, moving away from the original Umbraco platform. Our focus was on improving SEO optimization, implementing dynamic code, enhancing user experience, and gaining better insights into user behavior. We continued iterating on the project post-launch to further enhance SEO performance.

Introducing News Pages

To empower our marketing team and improve SEO, we implemented news pages using Strapi. This allowed our colleagues to take full control of content production and deliver timely updates.

Expanding Content

We expanded the website by creating additional pages tailored for corporate clients, charity work, and specific target audiences, such as expats and individuals seeking insurance housing.

Design Systems

While the initial revamp already incorporated a design system, we felt it could benefit from further improvements. After careful consideration, we established a new design system that utilized the same frameworks as before, along with Framer Motion to enhance user experience and unify the overall website design.

Corporate Accounts and Profiles

To cater to the needs of larger relocator companies and corporations, we developed a dedicated listings page accessible through a profile system using Google Authentication. This feature included multiple profile pages offering valuable information such as ongoing rentals, requests, rental history, and more.
