Movinn app

Mobile app for tenants

Being entrusted with the task of designing a mobile app aimed at enhancing the daily experiences of Movinn's tenants was a truly rewarding opportunity. The prospect of creating an application that would consistently improve their lives through a concierge service, digital doorkey, and direct access to the service department filled me with immense satisfaction, knowing that the final product would have a positive impact on their day-to-day routines.

My design journey began with extensive research, exploring similar apps in the market. Drawing inspiration from their approaches, I leveraged the power of Figma to craft a modern and sleek design that harmonized with Movinn's overall aesthetic, incorporating thoughtful color schemes and visual elements.

Initial Brainstorming

Collaborating with Patrick Blok, Managing Director of Movinn, we engaged in an extensive brainstorming session to explore the various aspects of the app. Through fruitful discussions, we outlined key features and sketched preliminary concepts, aligning our goals for the project.

Research Phase

Although there were no direct competitors in our specific niche, conducting thorough research on similar apps was a valuable exercise. This involved benchmarking their distinguishing features and analyzing their designs. Additionally, I consulted with residents and Movinn's exceptional service staff to address potential challenges that could be addressed through the app. Notably, the integration of a digital key functionality was a significant enhancement, leveraging Movinn's proprietary access points for seamless apartment entry.

Design Iteration

Building upon the research findings, I commenced the visual design phase, ensuring all key insights were incorporated into the app's interface. From providing direct access to the service department with a high-quality ticketing system and chat functionality to offering comprehensive billing history, every aspect was carefully considered and visually represented.

Testing and Refinement

To validate and enhance the user experience, I conducted testing sessions with colleagues and residents, gathering valuable feedback. This iterative process allowed me to fine-tune the UI, address any usability issues, and ultimately arrive at a polished prototype. While the app is currently scheduled for release in 2023, these testing and refinement stages have paved the way for a seamless and user-friendly final product.
